| When is the Convention? |
- The Convention begins Monday, August 25, 2008 and runs through Thursday, August 28, 2008.
- Please note that a media convention party sponsored by the Denver 2008 Convention Host Committee will be held the evening of Saturday, August 23, 2008 for all credentialed members of the press. All press credentials for media will be distributed on Sunday, August 24, 2008.

| How many hotels are under contract in Denver for the Democratic National Convention? |
- Nearly 100 hotels in the Denver area are contracted for the convention time period beginning Sunday, August 24, 2008 through Thursday, August 28, 2008.

| Are there enough DNCC hotels to accommodate the media? |
- Unfortunately, due to overwhelming media interest in the 2008 Democratic National Convention, the DNCC will not be able to fulfill all housing requests through the media housing system.

| How much is it going to cost to stay in Denver hotels? |
- There are special DNCC-negotiated rates for the Convention period.
- Rates vary by hotel. You will be asked to specify your hotel needs for the following Hotel Categories on your Housing Request Form:
- Economy Under $150++ per night
- Moderate $151 to $250
- High End $250 and up
- All rates are flat rates for single/double occupancy, exclusive of local and state sales tax

| When do the DNCC special rates expire? |
- After July 15, 2008, the pre-negotiated discounted room rates are no longer available.

| Where are the DNCC hotels located? |
- The DNCC housing plan encompasses a seven-cluster wagon wheel design, with the downtown Pepsi Center area serving as the nexus for the system.
- The seven hotel clusters in the Denver area are: (1) North; (2) Denver International Airport; (3) West; (4) Downtown Denver; (5) Stapleton; (6) Cherry Creek; and (7) Tech Center

| Where will the state delegation hotels be located? |
- The 22 delegation hotels are located in the Downtown, Stapleton and Tech Center areas of Denver.

| Can I reserve a room in a state delegation hotel? |
- You may request a room in a state delegation hotel in the special comment section of the media housing application form. Rooms allocated in state delegation hotels are extremely limited and subject to the approval of the state chair of each delegation.

| Can I reserve a room in the candidate hotel? |
- The candidate hotels are managed by the candidate’s management team and are not available for media housing.

| Can I reserve a room in the DNCC Headquarters hotel? |
- The DNCC headquarters hotel is not available for media housing.

Will there be a media headquarters hotel? |
- There will be a designated media operations headquarters hotel in the downtown cluster to accommodate the offices of the U.S. Congressional Press Galleries, DNCC Media Operations and a Convention Press Information Center. Due to the limited availability of large hotels in the downtown Denver area, the hotel will not serve as a primary accommodations hotel.
- There will also be concentrations of media rooms in the various clusters, with the West cluster serving as the media accommodations headquarters.

| Can I request a specific hotel? |
- You may make a request for a specific hotel in the special comment section of the application form. Remember that room allocations at state delegation hotels are extremely limited and that the DNCC headquarters hotel and candidate designated hotels are not included in the media housing process.
- While we may not be able to book a room in your requested hotel, we will try to accommodate your general location or hotel type needs to the best of our ability.

| Can I request a downtown hotel to serve the 24-hour operation needs of my news organization? |
- The supply of downtown hotel rooms is extremely limited. Most members of the press will be in hotels outside the downtown area.
- The 24-hour operations of the news media will be aided by ample parking at the DNCC designated hotels, the typical 15 to 30 minute travel times from most hotels to the Pepsi Center and free parking near the Pepsi Center.

| How long will it take to get to the Pepsi Center from any of the cluster hotels? |
- Travel time by car or DNCC shuttle transportation will typically take about 15 to 30 minutes from the hotel to the Pepsi Center or nearby convention center media parking lot.

| Will my news organization be able to stay in one hotel? |
- We will make every effort to place each organization’s room block at the same hotel, but due to the limited availability of rooms, we are unable to guarantee placement at a single hotel property.

| What are the basic requirements for booking a room? |
- A four-night minimum stay is required for all DNCC hotels for the Convention period: Monday, August 25 through Thursday, August 28, with a Friday, August 29 check out date. Extended dates may be available; please submit your request for all dates needed. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs.
- A deposit is required to confirm a reservation. Deposit amounts and cancellation policies vary by hotel, so please confirm these when you make your reservation.
- June 24, 2008 is the FINAL date for you to confirm your room(s) and pay the deposit requirement on all reservations. Rooms not confirmed by that time will automatically revert back to the DNCC hotel reservation system for general rebooking.

| How do I apply for credentials? |
- The credential application process is handled by the U.S. Congressional Press Galleries in Washington, DC and by the DNCC Press Gallery. For more information on credential application deadlines, please go to www.demconvention.com.

| When can I apply for media housing? |
- The media housing application process has closed for the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

| What if my room needs change? |
- The DNCC online housing system allows for direct management of your rooming lists. A DNCC media housing supervisor will be available to you to answer questions.
- You can make changes to your reservations up until the start of the Convention. Your original room block must be used by June 24, 2008. Any additional room requests should be made and will be accommodated after June 24, 2008, if rooms become available.

| What if I need to come earlier or stay later than the convention week period to set up and close down our news operation? |
- We are happy to plan for your extended convention stays and will work with our DNCC hotels to guarantee our negotiated rates for these time periods.
- Please let us know of your extended stays on the housing application form. The earlier we hear from you about your requirements the easier it will be for us to plan for you.

| Do I have to list specific names for each room? |
- Yes, by June 24, 2008 you will need to supply individual room names and deposits

| When will I be notified of my assignment? |
- We will make rolling confirmations and assignments as we receive and accommodate housing requests beginning on February 13, 2008.
